A short retrospective.
Cons
- went to Warshaw for nothing (and some other rejections)
- spent the (whole) summer vacation in my home town
- too many ideas that ended up unimplemented
- too many ideas that I had, and after a while, someone else had the same ideas and actually implemented them (the last and the most important one is here)
- the first year I got into trouble with some courses at school
- I have to disagree with Douglas Adams on the whooshing part of keeping deadlines. I actually heard that sound too many times this year and I goddamn hate it
- didn’t take the MCTS and MCPD exams
- didn’t really respect what I wrote here
- too many sleepless nights
- sleepless nights that led to some negative effects
- I got employed
Pros
- I got employed
- I’ve traveled a lot (in my opinion)
- I’ve held a lot of presentations (including one at Internetics)
- I moved to iaci.ro (also bought another domain that I will announce in the near future - people who were present at my last two presentations know what I’m talking about)
- Charles Petzold sent me a book (a very nice moment at a very difficult time in my life)
- my blog gained a lot of readers
- I did a lot of reading (I think I could easily call this “The year of reading”)
Looking forward for what 2008 has to offer.
