Another social networking website joins the crowd.
Yahoo! Kickstart is in direct competition with LinkedIn and it’s red hot (not as in cool, but as in right out of the oven). I never liked LinkedIn and I don’t recall reading about a person actually getting recruited because of his LinkedIn profile (but I know some who got a job because the had an interesting tech blog).
So, I don’t have a profile on LinkedIn (actually I do, but it’s abandoned) so I’ve created one on Kickstart. If you know me, you could search my profile and connect with me (damn, that sounds lame).
And finally, in the spirit of all the digg and reddit posts that sound like “n reasons x will fail”, “n reasons you should use” or “n most important l337 tools you HAVE to use not to be a n00b”, you can read this one, if you care.

Dude .. I like you and all .. but there’s no way in hell I’m ever going to “connect” with you
Hmm.. yes.. that didn’t sound right :))
I beg to differ.
I personally know a person that got contacted by google due to a LinkedIn profile.
Good for you.
But your point is?
Did I say there wasn’t any person who got recruited because of his profile?
You kind of implied that LinkedIn gets you nowhere…(”I never liked LinkedIn and I don’t recall reading about a person actually getting recruited because of his LinkedIn profile”).
If this is not the case, mea culpa.
